Stag Night

Stag Night

You never know what will happen at stag night, which is truly a test of a man’s faithfulness and willingness to give up his single life. Or at least that is what stag night is to some. Others it is just a celebration of the last weekend of singlehood and the beginning of married life.

Getting married can bring about quite a few different emotions in a man. (And yes, for those who did not know this…some men actually do have emotions.) A man who is ready to be married will be excited about being with the one woman that he truly loves. He will be looking forward to having a family with her and will look forward to making a life with her.

A stag night is often a part of a whole stag weekend, and stag night is another word for bachelor party. It often involves a variety of activities including dining at some of the finest restaurants, sight seeing, stopping at the bar for a drink or two (or perhaps a little more than that), and viewing some of the finest female bodies around.

Sometimes stag nights will involve plenty of laughing, singing and dancing, and riding around in a fancy for hire car, such as a limo. In fact, an entire stag night party could end up taking place in a limo.

Some stag nights as mentioned earlier in this article take place only on one night. However, many stag nights actually last for an entire weekend. Groups of bachelors will spend an entire weekend in a high class hotel accommodation, and will also participate in daytime activities along with stag night.

Other activities that stag party participants will join in on include water sports, swimming, relaxing in the sun, and paint balling. Other groups will take quad bike trips and will go clay pigeon shooting. Even more true, some will play an 18-hole round of golf or will even go wind surfing.

Groups that are planning a stag night or even an entire stag weekend will not be short of activities in which to participate. Furthermore, these activities are easy to plan. There are maps available on the Internet to make stag night planning very easy.

Stag parties are very much a European thing, and often take place in cities such as Bristol, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Leeds, or Prague. Times and availability of the activities mentioned in this article depend upon location. It is the person responsible for coordinating the stag night or stag weekend to plan accordingly.

It may be too late to try to book a stag party for 2006, unless there is a last minute cancellation. It may be better for bachelors and groom-to-be to plan far enough in advance to make it worthwhile.

Complete pre-organized stag packages can be purchased which include everything (or nearly everything) that a bachelor party would need for the weekend or night. Other packages can be individual designed to fit the needs of a specific party as well, and discounts are often available.

Buy Investment Property in UK

Buy Investment Property in UK

Taking advantage of a buyer’s market means that investors will be looking to the long term for significant returns on their property price. In November 2007, Hometrack reported an average year-on-year housing price growth of 4.4% and expected the market to slow further over the coming months.

So where are the hot spots for those buying investment property today? The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors is forecasting that London, the South East, Scotland and Northern Ireland will see the most significant price increases over the next five years.

Scotland is one of the most affordable places for buying investment property with prices almost one-third less than the national UK average. Scotland is also seeing higher-than-average growth due to economic prosperity from high oil prices.

In the historic, university city of Aberdeen, the estate agent Gavin Bain & Co currently holds a range of properties from £68,500 to £450,000. There are numerous buy-to-let prospects for those buying investment property, including a 2-bedroomed apartment in a modern city-centre development in Candlemakers Lane for sale at £165,000. For the same price, Andersonbain & Co is marketing a well-presented 3-bedroom semi-detached family home in the Sheddocksley area. If you’re looking for something really special then take a look at Honeybank, a traditional 3/4-bedroomed granite cottage in Newmachar. Close to the Swailend golf course the owners of this property are looking for offers over £245,000.

Northern Ireland’s property surge is the result of a period of investment and regeneration. Ireland’s property finder, PropertyNews.com, has over 800 properties to choose from and there’s something for all budgets. Among these are several 5-bedroom character properties in the university area of Belfast on the market for around £350,000 each. Close to amenities they offer great investment potential in a buoyant student rental market.

Throughout the UK, investors wishing to maximise their short-term profit are continuing to follow the trend of buying investment property as a development project. In the current property market, houses that are in need of modernisation are being snapped up quicker than those that are in pristine condition. For a £10 to £20 monthly fee, Renovate Today will keep you up to date with lists of properties in need of renovation in your chosen region. If you want to find an auction agent in your area take at look at the Prime Location website, which lists agents throughout the UK in the Property Investment section.

Another way to maximise profit when buying investment property is by choosing a new property off-plan. Developers will often offer discounts on the market price to those who commit to buying before completion. The Ellesmere Property Group is just one company that specialises in off-plan property. They are currently offering a 17% discount on apartments in the cutting-edge Ingenta development in the Ancoats area of Manchester. The Ancoats region is currently being revitalised with new bars, restaurants and fashionable retail outlets and is attracting much new investment. There are 30 properties within the development with gross prices starting at £181,260.

Award-winning property portal New Homes Direct is a good place to look for anyone buying investment property off plan. Many of their properties are offered with discounts of 10 to 20%. They are currently marketing a large development of 109 apartments in Leeds with units available from £80,000 to £162,500 with an off-plan discount of 18%.

With the UK property market cooling and expected to stabilise next year, now could be the time to take advantage of a buyer’s market. This summary shows you just a taste of what is out there for those interested in buying investment property right now.

Seattle Washington Real Estate Welcomes You

Seattle Washington Real Estate Welcomes You

Seattle Washington real estate has much to offer, whether you’re looking for your first home or hoping to relocate to a thriving city with steady job and housing value increases. Seattle is the sort of place where LEED-certified “green” buildings abound, couriers ride bicycles rather than trucks, and the local government puts cultural preservation above profit. Fishermen on Puget Sound reel in the catch of the day, while engineers work on giant Boeing jet planes. It’s a hotbed of music (most notably the 1990s grunge movement) and the home of Starbucks and Seattle’s Best coffee. You can pick up homemade cheese and fresh grown vegetables from the Pike Place Farmer’s Market or check out the futuristic Space Needle on Broad Street. Traveling by ferry will give you a breathtaking view of the Olympia and Cascade mountain ranges or you may want to cruise in style aboard the Victoria Clipper. History buffs will enjoy a tour of Tillicum Native American Village or one of Bill Speidel’s underground boat tours, which shows the Seattle storefronts of 1889 before the great fire. From trendy villages to distinguished symphonies, it seems Seattle real estate has it all. Yet there are a number of suburbs to accommodate the growing number of people looking to move here.

East Side Seattle real estate encompasses all the cities between Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish: Bellevue, Issaquah, Kirkland, Newcastle, Mercer Island, Redmond and Sammamish itself. These cities were once the home of the local logging and mining industry, due to their close proximity to the water, but expanded to farm berries and dairy cows just before World War II. Once the post-war housing boom hit, these communities housed many of the new residents. The growth of East Side Seattle Washington real estate has been propelled forward by the growing number of high-tech companies roosting here. For instance, Microsoft, T-Mobile, Nintendo, AT&T Mobility, InfoSpace and Expedia all have centers locally. Additionally, the major regional offices of Boeing, Verizon Wireless, Google, Yahoo, Walt Disney and Fox Sports are situated in East Side communities. Biotech and medical companies like Amgen, Icos and Merck offer numerous jobs to area residents. Video game and media companies are plentiful too – like Warner Brothers, Sony Online, Monolith Productions, Sucker Punch, Valve Corporation and Bungie. It’s no wonder that many successful business moguls – Bill Gates (Microsoft founder), Paul Allen (Microsoft co-founder), John Stanton (Western Wireless), Craig McCaw (AT&T) and Steve Ballmer (Microsoft CEO) – made their homes in some of the more prestigious East Side neighborhoods.

Just off the coast of Seattle Washington real estate are a number of wondrous islands that offer a vacation atmosphere. For instance, Bainbridge Island has grown from a farming community to a high-class suburb. If you dream of driving down country roads past gardens, strolling through historic towns full of quaint cafes and one-of-a-kind retail shops, then Bainbridge is the place for you. While there are many country things to do – hiking through Bloedel Reserve, biking, horseback riding and golfing – you can also enjoy big city arts at the Performing Arts Center and the Arts & Crafts Gallery. Vashon Island also offers shops, art galleries, cottages and beautiful views of Puget Sound. Langley Island and Whidbey Island are two other options for enjoying the Seattle vibe, while partaking in both nature and artistic revelries. For the adventurers, the San Juan Islands are just a hop, skip and a jump away, where you can watch the amazing Orca whale migration, explore your surroundings via sea-kayak and comb the sandy beaches.

Lastly, the Queen Anne Seattle real estate region boasts some of the most affluent homes on the market. Queen Anne Hill offers stunning views of downtown, Mount Rainier, Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains, Lake Union and the Cascade Mountains. The homes of upper Queen Anne are traditional Victorians, while lower Queen Anne Seattle real estate overlooks the lovely Lake Union. This self-contained suburb just five minutes North of Seattle Washington real estate seemingly has it all: the Space Needle, the Pacific Science Center, the Experience Music Project, the Science Fiction Museum and the Key Arena, where the Seattle Storm and the Seattle Thunderbirds play.

Whether you’re new to town or unsure where you’d like to relocate, ask your local Seattle Washington real estate agent to show you around.

Seattle Washington real estate has much to offer — from quaint artsy island communities to lavish suburbs where moguls like Bill Gates live. Residents love Seattle real estate for the scenic drives, the progressive environmentalism, the high-tech jobs and the plethora of entertainment options. Whether you’re into coffee and music or symphonies and boat cruises, you’ll find your niche here.

As we see female body get heavier?we also observe that there feet got bigger.

The research from Debenhams found that in 2009, ladies’ size nines sales increased by 23 per cent, while sales of size sixes jumped by 17 per cent.

The largest shoe it currently stocks as standard is a nine, but they are now considering stocking size 10 on a regular basis.

Women’s feet are getting bigger, with the average shoe size up from a five to a six in the past five years, figures have found.

Medical experts believe that the rise in size is down to the obesity epidemic, pointing to high-density foods such as pizza being eaten during puberty stimulating the growth hormone.
Debenhams also found that women in Leeds had the largest feet, followed by those in Belfast, London and Cardiff.

Ed Watson, from the department store chain said: “Big shoes, especially heeled styles, have to be made much stronger with sturdier load-bearing points, able to cope with greater levels of stress and wear.

“In the past, these shoe sizes would have only been available bespoke, but today’s women with larger feet want to wear the designer styles which we stock rather than frumpy specially made ones.”

At one time it would have been difficult for a woman to get a size 6 shoe. Now that is the norm.

“It’s part of the process of evolution, as generally people are getting bigger and taller. We are seeing it clinically in both men and women as modern diets and lifestyle change.

“Once, a man’s shoe size of six or seven was common, but now sizes 9, 10, 11 and 12 are more commonplace.”
