Anoreta Golf on the Costa Del Sol Golf, Spain

Añoreta Golf on the Costa del Sol Golf, Spain was the second golf course built east of Malaga on the Costa del Sol, and it was the first to be designed by the renowned Spanish and Ryder Cup player, José Maria Cañizares.

Cañizares has designed a course which is suited to all golfers, from beginners to experienced players and pros.

With a total length of 5,976 metres from the amateur tees, all the course’s fairways and greens are wide.

Anoreta Golf course’s lush vegetation and great expanses of water enhance its natural beauty. And its long par make it necessary to use strength, precision and patience.

The course is 18 holes, par 72, and is 5976 metres from the white tees. There are some difficult holes on this course and also some spectacular scenery as well as sea and coastal views to enjoy.

Mature trees and shrubs line many of the holes, however it is water that is the main feature. Not only are you afforded some splendid views of the Mediterranean particularly from the Par 4 seventh but water of the fresh kind forms a hazard at 11 of the 18 holes on the course. Notably the Par three 17th where the green is surrounded on three sides by water making its mere 168 metres suddenly seem none too few.

Although the fairways and greens are generally fairly wide, accuracy remains important as there are 11 holes with water hazards on this course.

Añoreta Golf has a driving range as well as practice facilities and a golf school that offers both individual and group lessons.
